Michelle graduated Valedictorian from Chippewa Falls Senior High School in 2000. At Northwestern University, she studied roles from the great playwrights including Antigone in Sophocle’s Antigone, Helena in Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya, Katherine in Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew, Helena in MidSummer’s Night Dream, Ruth in Pinter’s The Homecoming, Shelly in Sam Shepard’s Buried Child and Amanda in Noel Coward’s Private Lives.  Michelle graduated from Northwestern in 2004 and moved to Los Angeles.

Michelle continues to study in various locations in LA and is part of an improvisation group called Caffeine Inspiration.

Michelle was born in Utah but her family moved to England before her first birthday.   Her love for the theatre began perched on the wooden benches at the “Little Mermaid Puppet Theatre” in London.  
 
Michelle’s family moved from England to Colorado Springs a few years later. In Colorado, Michelle studied modern dance with her mother, art and acting at Bemis Art School, and began to perform in regional productions.
 
Michelle’s family moved to Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin in 1989.  Michelle continued to perform at various theatres including the State Theatre, Mable Tainter Theatre, and the CVCA Cultural Arts Center. By the age of 18, Michelle had acted in over 30 shows in roles ranging from the forlorn Laura Ryden in “Opal” to the intense but delightful nurse in “Romeo and Juliet.”  She also wrote, directed, and starred in a touring drama troupe, “Shakespeare, Live!”.  Michelle wrote and directed her first official production at 17 which included a cast of 30 middle school students.  Additionally Michelle was regional champion and state qualifier in #1 tennis singles, a competitive swimmer, dancer (modern and ballet), varsity basketball player, and named the top art student in high school.

Hailing from the Midwest, Michelle graduated with an acting degree from Northwestern University before moving to Los Angeles in 2005.  Her largest claim to fame is playing BRUCE LEE’S WIFE in, “The legend of Bruce Lee.”  (Released by Lionsgate, September 21, 2010)
 
 
Lionsgate released the film as a three hour look into the life and legend of Bruce Lee, although it was originally shot as a 50 episode TV series and has been aired in Italy, France, China, Korea, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Morocco, Singapore and Algeria, just to name a few. The series was shot in various locations across China, Hong Kong, Macau, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Franscisco and Las Vegas and also stars Kwok-Kwan Chan as Bruce Lee, Mark Dacascos, Michael Jia White, Ray Park and Gary Daniels.
 
 
Michelle has also worked with directors such as: George Hickenlooper, Jason Friedberg, Aaron Seltzer, JJ Abrams, and Ben Grant  in various films including: Vampires Suck, Date Movie, Disaster Movie, Epic Movie, Star Trek,  and Reno: 911 Miami.  Michelle has had lead roles in feature films “33 Griffin Lane”, “Zombie TV”, and “Downstream,” and in over 20 independent shorts.  She continues to study martial arts at the National Wushu Training Center where she is a few months away from testing for her black belt.

Michelle returned to China during summer of 2008 to guest star in two episodes of “Wai Lai Xi Fu Ben Di Lang,”  which has been running in China for over 8 years and is one of the top rated Chinese television series.  The writers at GDTV wrote the episodes specifically for Michelle. The first episode is set to air September 28, 2008.
